Hardness measures are measuring instruments in the form of round or rectangular shaped tiles/discs made of alloy or carbon steel according to GOST 9031-75 standards. Reference hardness measures are used when checking instruments and measuring the hardness of metals according to standardized methods.
Hardness measures are subject to mandatory verification carried out every two years, which is confirmed by the state marking. The standard hardness measures are divided into the first and second categories.
Hardness measurements are made in various modifications and are used to measure the hardness of metals according to the following methods: on the Rockwell scale, according to the method of Super-Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers and Shore.
